The Vast Seas of Web 2.0 Tools

June 15, 2008

Learning about social networking tools is great, but they are just that…tools.  Nothing more.  You can learn all about how they work and what they do but the important thing here is to utilize the tool to increase efficiency in how you learn or work.  There are so many discussions about what tool works best or what features people wish there were, but really the big question is “will I really use this”.  I consider myself a web 2.0 minimalist, I participate in the web 2.0 networks that I actually use on a daily basis.  I see so many people online that join up on new startups just for the sake of web 2.0.  Sure there are countless blogs on the Internet, but there are very few of them that post consistently good content.
